Fame Mukisa Expands Platform for Ugandan Entertainment in Europe

Ugandan event promoter Fame Mukisa is steadily establishing himself as one of the organisers behind a growing number of entertainment events targeting the Ugandan diaspora in Europe.

Through Fame Events NL Amsterdam, Mukisa has organised concerts and cultural events that bring Ugandan musicians to European audiences while providing a platform for members of the diaspora to connect through music and culture.

One of the company's major events this year was a concert held on June 20, featuring musicians Sheebah Karungi and Lydia Jazmine. The event attracted Ugandans and other music enthusiasts from different parts of Europe.

The company is also preparing for a Ship Cruise Party scheduled for July 18, which will feature performances by Geosteady, Jowy Landa, and Maro. Organisers say the event will combine live music with a cruise experience, offering fans a different setting for entertainment.

Later in the year, Fame Events NL plans to host its Winter Fest, with a lineup that includes Kapeke, John Blaq, and veteran actress and singer Mariam Ndagire.

The series of events reflects the growing demand for Ugandan entertainment among diaspora communities, with promoters increasingly investing in bringing local artists to international audiences.

Organising concerts outside Uganda often presents logistical and financial challenges, including travel arrangements, venue management and coordination with artists. Despite these hurdles, FAME EVENTS NL has continued to stage events aimed at strengthening cultural ties between Ugandans living abroad and performers from home.
